The Key Steps 

  1. Click on the People icon
  2. Click on Tasks under the Management section
  3. Click on the New Task button
  4. In the Task field enter what the task is
  5. Provide any additional information in the Extra Details field
  6. Set the task’s due date
  7. Select the related client, if applicable
  8. Assign the task to a staff member, if applicable
  9. Set task Status to Open or Complete
  10. Click on the Save Task button

Creating a Task

Within Pulse, you can use the Task feature to help you stay on top of important things you need to get done at your facility. You can also use the Tasks feature to assign different tasks to your staff members. 

In order to access the main Tasks page, click on the People icon and then select Tasks under the Management section. 

On this page you will see all of the tasks that have an open status, which means they are uncompleted. Below your open tasks you can see a list of all your completed tasks. 

To create a new task, click on the New Task button.

When you create a new task, you will give it a brief description in the Task field. Then, you can provide more information in the Extra Details section. 

In the Due field, you can click on the calendar icon to select a specific time and date that you want this task to be completed by.

On the right side of the Create Task screen, you have the ability to associate a contact with this task. 

If you click on the ‘This is about a client’ field, you will get a dropdown list of all of your contacts to choose from.

You can also assign this task to one of your staff members, indicating that they are responsible for completing it. 

The Status field is where you will indicate whether this task is currently Open or Completed

When you are done creating this task, click on the blue Save Task button. 

Task Shortcuts

From Your Dashboard

You can quickly create a task from anywhere in the Pulse system by clicking on the Quick Actions button at the top of any page. From the dropdown menu, you will click on New Task and go through the same process for creating a new task.

On your Pulse dashboard there is a widget for tasks you can use to see what tasks you have coming up. The Tasks widget will show you tasks that have a due date that has already passed or tasks that are ‘Due Today’.

From the Contact Profile

Once you've selected a contact and are viewing the contact profile, you are able to add a task from the "overview" page on the profile. 

You can also select "tasks" from the left side of the profile to add a task. From here, you'll also see a list of all tasks you've added and completed for the contact.
