Creating a Smart List
Smart lists are a way you can group your contacts based on different tags and filters. These lists are dynamic, meaning they automatically update themselves so you do not have to manually make sure they are up to date.
In Pulse, you can use these lists for things like mass promotions or sending bulk messages to unique groups of contacts.
To access your Smart List page, click on the People icon and then click on Smart Lists under the People section.
This page will have listed all of your current and archived smart lists.
To create a new smart list, click on the Create Smart List button.
On the Create a Smart List page, you will give your list a Name and a brief description explaining who is included in this list.
Once you have done that, click on the blue Create button.
After clicking "Create," you will be taken to the main page for editing your smart list.
On this page, you will be able to see and edit the filters on your smart list. You will also be able to see a list of the contacts currently included in this smart list on the right side of the page.
To add a filter to your list, click on the Add Field button.
You will then be able to select what kind of filter you want to add from the dropdown list.
After clicking on the type of filter you want to add, you will then have the ability to set the parameters for that filter.
In the example below, the smart list is only including contacts who are in the system as being Guardians and that also have the tag kids-karate on their account.
If you want to add more than one filter, click on the Add Field button again.
Once you have your filters set, click on the blue Update button.
