Selecting Your Payment Methods
An important step to take before you start taking payments in Pulse is to set up your payment options.
The system is automatically set up to accept credit cards, but you can select whether you are going to accept cash, checks and ACH for transactions at your facility.
To get to the Payment Options page click on the Settings icon and then click on Payment Options under the Global section.
The different Payment Methods you can choose to accept are cash, check, and ACH. If you do not want to accept one of these methods, uncheck the box next to that method.
For transactions that are paid with cash or check, Pulse will note the method for your record-keeping, however, it is your responsibility to actually collect the payment.
If you are accepting ACH payments, make sure to follow the instructions below within your stripe account to ensure that payments are collected properly.
The next field on this page, Auto-Renewal Lead Time, is where you will indicate how many days before a membership is scheduled to end that you want it to automatically renew.
For example, if you have 30 in this field, 30 days before the end of someone’s membership their membership will be renewed.
If your members want their membership to be terminated at the end of the membership period they will need to indicate it before this auto-renewal lead time window.
In the Let User Pick Lead Time field, you have the ability to specify how big of a window students have to choose from when selecting their start date. This field will only apply if you have any membership pricing options set up with the start type of 'Allow Customer to Choose'.
For example, if you have a membership set up where students select their membership start date, entering 14 in this field would allow them to choose their start date from any day within the next 2 weeks.
When you are done editing the settings on this page make sure to click on the blue Update button.
