Creating an API Token

An API token is a unique identifier of your Pulse account that allows other websites or softwares to communicate and share information with it. API tokens are often what's needed to set up an integration.

In Pulse, you can create a new API token for each integration you'd like to set up.

To create an API token, you'll start by selecting the Settings (gear wheel) icon from your action bar. Then, select Tokens under the API section.

From the API Tokens page, you'll give your API Token a name in the Token Name field.

NOTE: You'll probably want to give the token an identifying name, for example "Website" if you're creating this token for a website integration.

Once you've named your token, click the blue Create button.

After you create your API token, a green box containing your unique token will populate at the top of the page. You'll want to copy that code to use it.

The codes you create will all be listed at the bottom of the API tokens page. You'll be able to see the name of the token, when it was created, and when it was last used. If you need to see a specific API token again, click the View button to populate the code in the green box at the top of the page. To delete a code, click on the red X.

Deleting an API token will stop any integration that is currently using the token.
