The Key Steps
- Click on the Money icon
- Click on Categories under E-Commerce
- Click on the Create button
- Give the category a name in the Name field
- Sort this category into a Parent category, if applicable
- Click on the Save button

Organizing your products into different categories is a great way to keep your Point of Sale tidy and easy to use. Categories are groups you can use to sort your products, like gear or snacks.
To get to the Categories page in Pulse click on the Money (wallet) icon and then click on Categories under E-Commerce.
Once you are on the Categories page, click the Create button in the top right corner.
On the Add New Category page, you will give the category a Name. You'll also have the option to sort this category inside of a parent category by selecting one of the categories you have already built from the Parent field.
One example of using a parent category would be having Food and Drink be the parent category to the Sports Drinks category.
Once you are done setting up the category click the blue Save button.
As you are adding new products you will be given the option to assign them to one of the categories you have added. If you have already added all of your products you can go in and edit the product to assign it to a category.
