Creating Class Package Membership Options
Class packages are a way students can purchase a set number of classes that they can sign up for whenever they want. If your facility offers this option to clients it is important to build it out as a membership pricing option in Pulse so you can keep track of how many class credits these members have.
Before you can create the Class Package as a pricing option, you first need to build a Membership Group specifically for class packages with a certain number of Class Credits.
To create a new group, go to the Membership Templates page by clicking on the Settings icon and then selecting Membership Templates under the Global section.
From the Membership Templates page, you can create a new group by clicking on the Create Group button.
For the most part you will set this group up similarly to how you built out your other membership groups, however, for this group we will use the Class Credits field.
The number of credits you enter in the Class Credits field is how many credits will come in each pricing option in this group. That means if you want to sell Class Packages of different sizes, you will need to create separate groups for each size you offer.
Once you are done creating your group, click on the blue Save button at the bottom of the page.
Now that you have created a group for a specific size class package, you can start building your individual pricing options. These options could be generic class packages with access to any of your classes or you could specify your class packages based on the different programs you offer or differentiate them by adult’s and kid’s packages.
To make a new pricing option, click on the Create Pricing Option button from the main Membership Templates page. You will set this Pricing Option up similarly to how you set up your other pricing options, however, you will want to make sure you assign this pricing option to the group you made for class packages.
One key step that differentiates class package pricing options is setting up the Payment Frequency on the Billing Cycles page.
For any class package pricing options you make, you will want to set the Payment Frequency to One-Time. This will ensure that you do not have to set up a length for the membership since these class credits can be used at the member’s discretion.
If you want the trial member to be required to use these credits within a certain period of time, set the Payment Frequency field to either weekly or monthly. You will then need to enter in the Membership Length field how many weeks/months you want this trial to have.
Once you have your pricing option completely set up, click on the blue Save button at the bottom of the page.
